A performance testing session with Adam Lusby gives you an objective, data-driven picture of your physical capabilities across every key quality — and a written report that tells you exactly what to do with that information.

What gets tested

Every session covers four areas of physical performance:

Strength — maximum force production tested through 3RM assessments. Establishes your absolute strength baseline and highlights any imbalances between left and right or upper and lower body that could be limiting your performance or increasing your injury risk.

Force Velocity Profile — this allows me where exactly you need to develop, the strength you’ve got, how quickly can you produce it, this is essential for athletes .

Anaerobic and Aerobic Testing — Gives you a clear picture of your conditioning baseline and how efficiently your body recovers between high-intensity efforts, one of the most important qualities in combat sports and athletic performance.

Movement screening — a structured assessment of how you move. Identifies restrictions, compensations and weaknesses in your movement patterns before they become injuries. The information here directly shapes how your S&C programme is built.

What you receive

After your testing session you receive a full written report covering your results across all four areas, how your scores compare to sport-specific benchmarks, and clear recommendations for your training priorities going forward.

This isn't a generic fitness assessment. It's a sport science-informed performance profile that tells you exactly where you are, where you need to get to, and how to close the gap.

In person or remote

Testing is available in person at The ESPC, Dundee — or remotely for athletes who can't travel. Remote testing uses validated self-administered protocols with video submission, giving you access to the same data-driven approach regardless of location.
